In this chapter, Biff, Katie, and Henry rescue Ellen from Baynard Hospital and bring her back to Betty's. Returning to his apartment for supplies, Biff is surprised to find Victoria there - who seems angry at his failure to recover Gloria, but not angry enough to keep on playing the agent as a fiddle, first with a tempting story of lesbian seduction and then with some direct action - nothing we haven't seen before, but everything taken up a notch or two.
